Two Caribbean archaeologists

  About me...

I was born in The Netherlands to British parents, was schooled in English and Dutch and knew from a very early age that I wanted to save seals from being hunted. If that didn't work out, I was to be an archaeologist. Well, it became the latter, and I am still studying (Caribbean) archaeology at Leiden University, aiming to walk away with a PhD coming autumn.

I sometimes wish my interests were as limited as they were in childhood, as nowadays I find myself torn between many different things in my spare time. I can spend hours in front of a computer blogging, scouring the internet for interesting sites, editing my photographs, capturing Iris's digital video and most recently, designing our website. I love dancing, drinking coffee in little cafes, going to museum exhibitions, checking out the latest films, shopping for books and clothes and hanging out with friends. Unlike Iris, it can take quite some effort to get me into the open air, but I do enjoy rambling through the nature when I am finally there.
