Just before leaving, my eye was drawn by a colourful shack that had been erected in a corner of the building. This is where the the spice bags have their final destination painted on, by using metal stencils that look suspiciously like old numberplates. Some of the other destinations? Montreal, New York, Rosario, Trinidad, St. Kitts and St. Thomas, though judging by lack of paint residue, there hasn't been much export to some of the latter parts recently.
