We were delighted to stumble upon a canoe in its final stages of manufacture on the road up to Horseback Ridge. We would have liked to talk to the canoe builder, but his wife told us he was out fishing. It didn't look like a hollowed-out tree trunk canoe, but we were happy to pretend it was!
